The Logistics
A huge amount of logistical planning goes into planning an event of this scale and this includes talking to those whose support is vital. Below are some of the people and businesses we have been talking to about Cheltenham MotorSports:
Cheltenham Town Centre Manager
Martin Quantock, Cheltenham’s Town Centre manager has been approached and is keen on the project.
The Police
Initial discussions with the Town Centre Police have been very positive. With enough notice, well-planned closures and diversions and suitable discussion with interested parties such as public transport operators, they are happy that this has the potential to become a very important event for the town.
The Cheltenham Town Centre Events Team
The Town Centre Events Team has welcomed this as an event for the Town Centre. The Town Hall / Imperial Gardens /Montpellier gardens and other Council venues and area will be integral to the event.
The Motor Sports Association
MSA have been cautiously helpful to date. They have made it clear that they would welcome a well-put together event and will be there for advice and counsel.
Rissington Karting Club
Rissington Karting Club has been very supportive, providing helpful advice and introductions. They believe our event will raise the profile of karting and clearly a strong relationship with them will bring benefits to both parties.
